Cub Scouts

Our Lady of Good Help Church sponsors two Scouting programs for boys.  Cub Scouting is for boys in first through fifth grades.  Boy Scouting is for boys aged 11 through 17.  The scout program offers programs for each age group, but boys can join at any time.  A boy does not have to be a Tiger Cub to join Cub Scouts.  A boy does not have to be in Cub Scouting to join the Boy Scouts.

The aims of Scouting are:
" "  To build character
 " "  To foster citizenship
 " "  To develop fitness

Cub Scouting includes Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts and Webelos.  Our Cub Scout unit is Pack 102, Mapleville.  The Pack meets once per month with all dens at 7:00 PM on a Friday night in the church hall for awards, presentations and fun.

Tiger Cubs

A school-year program for first-grade (or 7 years old) boys and their adult partners that stresses simplicity, shared leadership, learning about the community, and family understanding.  Each boy/adult team meets for family activities, and then once or twice a month all the teams meet for Tiger Cub group activities

Cub Scouts

A family- and home-centered program for boys in the second through third grade (or 8 and 9 years old).  Cub Scouting's emphasis is on quality program at the local level, where the most boys and families are involved.  Cub Scouts join a den that meets once per week, often at the den leader’s home.

Webelos

Fourth- and fifth-grade (or 10 years old) boys are called Webelos and participate in more advanced activities that begin to prepare them to become Boy Scouts.  Webelos meet once per week and also take part in outdoor activities
